Haryana · Early Years Chapter 01
Where It Started
I come from Haryana, a land known for its spirit, simplicity and warmth. From an early age I was curious about how things work, why markets move, and how people and ideas come together to create something lasting. I grew up watching my father live by the discipline of an Army life: early mornings, exact routines and an unshakeable sense of duty.

Learning the Business World
My entrepreneurial journey began in the early 1990s. I was drawn to the stock markets not for the numbers alone, but for the thrill of understanding how capital, risk and opportunity moved together. It was my first real education in business, long before I ever called myself an entrepreneur.

A Pioneering Journey Chapter 03
Discovering Golf
I never set out to enter the golf industry — it found me. I had always been drawn to green, open spaces, and golf courses were among the most striking examples of landscape, engineering and ecology working together. The more time I spent around the sport, the more I began to see it as an ecosystem, not a leisure pursuit.

Golf In India · Alert Golf Management Services Chapter 04
Building Golf In India
That realisation led me to found Golf In India, and later Alert Golf Management Services, with the aim of bringing greater professionalism and technical rigour to how golf courses in India were designed, built and maintained. I partnered with an established Malaysian golf-course management company, learning their systems for course construction and turf management, and adapting that expertise to Indian conditions.

Two Decades · Multiple Sectors Chapter 05
Strategic Growth
Success in golf opened doors I hadn't expected. Over the following two decades, my work expanded into infrastructure, tourism, international trade, real estate, chemicals, retail, sports and hospitality, each venture teaching me something different about markets, institutions and people.

2017 · Consolidation Chapter 06
AG Horizon
By 2017, I realised that growth without focus eventually becomes noise. I made the decision to consolidate this diverse portfolio into a single, purpose-built institution, AG Horizon Pvt. Ltd., carrying forward the legacy and relationships built since 1998, with a sharper, more disciplined focus on programme management, transaction advisory, policy advocacy and business acceleration.

Beyond Business
Entrepreneurship was never only about building companies; it has always been about building people. I mentor young professionals and first-time entrepreneurs, and within AG Horizon I've focused on building intellectual capital. Along the way, I built a business collaboration with Moody's, and in 2023 AG Horizon became a member of the United Nations Global Compact.
